Hey ,
The cool, fresh mountain air, three long-distance hikes, and the promise of new horizons.
That’s what my wife – Jo – and I envisioned for our latest mountain getaway.
Imagine our surprise when instead of hiking trails, we found ourselves stuck in a mountain hut
for 3 whole days!
The skies decided to let loose, and the rain poured down in torrents.
Streams overflowed, and, to add to the
drama, a mudslide decided to pay us a visit.
Our path was utterly and completely blocked.
But here's where the story takes a
twist.
Instead of sulking about our spoiled plans, Jo and I made the mountain hut our home.
Between cups of hot tea, endless rounds of chess, and long
conversations against the backdrop of the rain…
We found a different kind of adventure.
One we hadn’t planned for but embraced
all the same.
Now, here's the nugget I took away from our rain-soaked escapade.
Life, much like business, doesn't always go as
planned.
You can draft the most meticulous strategies, analyse every competitor, and fine-tune your branding to perfection.
Yet,
there will always be "rain" and unforeseen "mudslides" in your coaching journey.
But here's the thing.
It's not the plan that
defines your success.
It's your ability to pivot, adapt, and find the silver lining in what initially seems like a disaster.
So,
take a look at your coaching business.
Is there a "mudslide" blocking your path? Something you didn’t see coming?
Remember, it’s
an opportunity in disguise.
Re-evaluate, pivot if necessary, and embrace the unexpected turn. You might just discover a delightful "chess game" waiting on the other side.
Stay adaptable and keep climbing,

P.S. If you’ve
ever had a “mudslide moment” in your coaching journey, hit reply and share it. We all learn best from shared stories and who knows, your tale might just inspire another coach reading this.
