…but get me on the phone to close a deal and I crumble like a stock cube.
So, there I was, on the phone, trying to close this deal.
I quoted the wrong
price...
Danced around the real talk...
And was sweating bullets.
I could practically hear the disappointment through the phone…
This guy had been burned before by copywriters promising the
world but delivering nothing but mediocre copy and an even worse client experience.
But, as fate would have it, this story has a happy ending.
Despite my less-than-smooth sales pitch, the client decided to take a leap of faith with me.
And guess what?
It's been a match made in marketing heaven.
He's got an amazing life coaching program, and I'm psyched to be on board to amplify his message.
So, what's the takeaway here?
Two things:
Always Trust Your Gut: In business, following your instincts can lead to amazing places. It's about doing what feels right, even when it's scary.
Know Your Weaknesses: We all have them. Mine just happens to be sales calls. The key is to either hone those skills or team up with someone who complements your weaknesses.
Just remember, align it with lesson one - it's got to feel right.
If you're wondering whether my sales skills have improved or if you just want to chat about how I can help you turbocharge your coaching business with killer copy, why not test me out?
Book a call, and let's see if I crumble or crush it (no pressure, right? 😅).
Catch you on the flip side,
Andrew 'Wilko' Wilkinson
P.S. Seriously, though, if you're curious to see if I've upped my
sales game (or just want to talk shop about elevating your email strategy), hit reply. Let's book that call and put my skills (or lack thereof) to the test!
